DORIS COLLEZ (nee WILLIAMS) Doris Collez passed away peacefully on February 13, 2005 at the age of 96. Doris leaves behind her beloved son Robert Collez and his wife Linda who reside in Augusta, Georgia. Also left behind are Doris' cherished granddaughters, Kathy Collez of Winnipeg, Angie Collez of Victoria, and devoted son Rene (Dino) Daneault of Winnipeg, along with a countless number of friends and acquaintances. Doris was born in Eveshan, England in 1908. During the Second World War, Doris was a nurse and looked after many soldiers. As a war bride to Gerald Collez, she immigrated to Canada in 1947. Doris started her new life in her new country. Doris was much respected and loved by the many people she came in contact with. During her lifetime, Doris touched and influenced the lives of more people than she could imagine. She never missed a beat, always enjoyed a good joke and covered all generational gaps. Doris was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion and the Belgian Club. For many years Doris worked at the Tache Centre caring for the elderly as an employee and as a volunteer in her later years. Doris was an angel on earth and will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Heaven greets her with open arms where she will be reunited with her husband Gerald Collez. A memorial service celebrating Doris' life will be held on Friday, February 18 in the E.J. Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald St. at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society. The Coutu family in care of arrangements: E.J. COUTU CO.
